We know the future of the main favorite to take over the team of Polish jumpers. PZN confirms

There will be a lot of changes in Polish ski jumping after the current season. Perhaps also as the main coach of the national team, which is currently occupied by the Czech Republic. The poor performance of the players meant that the names of his potential candidates were quickly started to be mentioned.

Mika Kojonkoski will not become the coach of Polish jumpers

Among them, one of the loudest was the legendary Finnish coach Mika Kojonkoski. It turns out, however, that although he was considered one of the most serious candidates for this function, he will not be contracted by the Polish Ski Association. “Raw Air is finished, it can be officially written: Mika Kojonkoski will not be the coach of the Polish national team,” Eurosport journalist Kacper Merk informed on Twitter.

We were able to confirm this information in the Polish Ski Association. The secretary general, Jan Winkiel, told Sport.pl that he would not actually replace Michal Doleżal after the end of the season.

Kojonkowski still out of work? It is possible

In the fall, Kojonkoski unexpectedly lost his job for the Chinese national team, although everyone thought that under his leadership the team had made great progress. Indeed, even incredible, because Kojonkoski built structures there, chose jumpers and even led them to compete in the World Cup. Of course, there was no question of winning, but his work was still admirable.

A few weeks ago, you could hear from Finland that Kojonkoski felt the coaching bug again and would like to return to work as head coach. The situation was analyzed by several cadres, especially Finland, because Janne Vaatainen’s two-year contract ends in spring. .

At the same time, Kojonkoski became one of the potential candidates for a coach. Some talks about his possible employment were held, but in the end neither parties reached any agreement. It is quite likely that Kojonkoski will be unemployed after the season.

“Employment of Kojonkoski in Poland would mean a considerable expense for PZN. And there are many indications that the Finn would definitely become the best-paid coach in the rate. It is worth remembering that currently the best-paid employee of PZN is not Michal Doleżal, but Dr. Harald Pernitsch, who may earn as much as 15,000 euros. However, these are probably the last weeks of Pernitsch’s work in Poland, or at least the last weeks to such a large extent. Therefore, part of the salary budget should soon be released. combined wage budget on Doleżala and Pernitscha “-.

Małysz: There are definitely more names

Kojonkoski was among the two biggest favorites for the team confirmed by PZN in recent weeks. The second was Maciej Maciusiak. that they were both among those who were interested in the relationship. – If we decided to change the coach, we would of course think about them. But I will sum it up like this: the solution may be surprising, the activist told us.

– There are definitely more of these names. There were a lot of them – part of just thinking about what is the most important in their case and what advantages they may have. It is time for us as a union to work on what is best to do. What to do to make it work, not to make a change for the sake of change. It is not only about what happened this year, about the results of the national team, but also about the future, especially of these young players. We know very well that we have to focus on this too -.
