The price middle of the electricity in the wholesale market will rise this Monday 16.76% and it will mark its most expensive record in history, an average of 442 euros/MWh, in the heat of the rise in the price of natural gas due to the impact of the war in Ukraine.
Specifically, the average price will be 442.54 euros/MWh, which will exceed the previous historical maximum of 383.67 euros/MWh that was reached on December 23.
In addition, the price of this Monday is about 63 euros more expensive than the one marked on Sunday, of 379.03 euros/MWh, according to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE).
