Kamil Stoch very honest and very disappointed
Only 1.6 points ahead of Stefan Kraft, 3.5 points over Ryoyu Kobayashi or 4 points over Daniel Andr Tande () was a minimal advantage for Stoch. But we all hoped the three-time Olympic champion would save the lead. We now know that he also counted on it a lot.

Stoch meant the entire season. He certainly spoke about the Olympic Games in Beijing, where he had great chances for medals in both competitions, but in the end he took “only” sixth and fourth place.
– I was lucky in the first round – admitted Stoch. And he explained that it was probably not in his head that he lost the second series in. – You cannot turn off thinking, but I know what kind of thinking to cut off. The jumps are … I don’t want to say they are unstable. But it was enough to do the second series the same. I can’t do it, which hurts me the most. I don’t know what to justify it with. Theoretically, I have everything I need, and in practice I fail every time – he said.
Stoch without much hope before the World Championships in ski flying?
After a disappointing performance, Stoch did not want to analyze what mistakes he had made. This time he did not wonder if he left the threshold too late, if he had a bad access position, etc. – Ask the coach. I do not know. I don’t know anymore, he admitted, distraught.
After the Raw Air tournament, the jumpers await the ski flying world championship. The competition in Vikersund will take place from Thursday to Sunday. – For the moment I want to rest. Flights aren’t easy. They are very difficult. There, you have to demonstrate good skills, but also a good current disposition. That’s it – summed up Stoch, clearly not giving himself and us great hopes before the flights. There, the winner will be the one who is the best in four total series.
Stoch still together with Małysz
On Sunday in Oslo one of the best jumpers in history missed a chance to overtake in the historic classification of winners. Gregor Schlierenzauer won the most competitions in the World Cup – 53. Matti Nykaenen is second in this classification, with 46 wins. The third place is still shared by Małysz and Stoch with 39 wins each.
