Szczêsny the hero of the match. He saved points for Juventus

Sunday brought another dose of great emotions to all fans of Italian football. Serie A is slowly entering its decisive phase, so there is very little time for mistakes. The table becomes clearer and we know the answers to more and more questions.

Juventus has kept Spezia with Reca in the squad. Szczęsny is a hero

In one of the most interesting matches of the 28th round of Serie A, Juventus, still fighting for the Italian championship, faced Spezia, who is fighting for maintenance. Two Polish representatives appeared on the pitch – Wojciech Szczsny for Juventus and Arkadiusz Reca for Spezia. For both teams, points were worth their weight in gold in this match. Looking at the results so far, the hosts seemed to be the clear favorite, but the reality turned out to be a bit different. Massimiliano Allegry’s players gained an advantage at the beginning of the meeting, but nothing came of it.

Spezia was serious about the Turin giant and was able to create favorable situations to score. The hosts dealt the first and, as it turned out later, the last blow. In the 21st minute, Alvaro Morat scored a goal assisted by Manuel Locatelli.

The visiting team tried to keep attacking and in the second half of the match they even had quite a clear advantage over Juventus. Surprisingly, they often managed to get shots, which made Wojciech Szczsny unable to complain about the lack of work. The Pole eventually became the hero of this meeting and deserved definitely good notes. His intervention in one of the shots by Kevin Agudelo deserves special recognition. A clean sheet kept in this match was already for the Polish representative 11 this season.

Despite her brave attitude, Spezia had to do with good taste and did not increase her advantage over the relegation zone, which is now only four points. Juventus, on the other hand, held on to fourth place in the league table to advance to the Champions League and reduced their lead to leading Inter Milan to five “points”.
