Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva spoke on the First Channel about her coach Eteri Tutberidze.
The athlete described the coach in three words, calling her wise, brave and tall. In addition, she stated that her favorite program is “Bolero”, and called herself a maximalist on the ice.
Valieva won the Finlandia Trophy tournament. Student Tutberidze scored 174.31 points for the free program, in total – 249.24 points, having updated world records. After that, choreographer Ilya Averbukh called Valieva’s skating alien, stressing that she has “a fantastic opportunity to dissolve on ice”.
15-year-old Valieva is the silver medalist of the Russian adult championship in 2021. In addition, she is the winner of the World Junior Championship (2020) and the final of the Junior Grand Prix (season 2019/2020).
