Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Khabib Nurmagomedov has been inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the organization.
“The eagle has landed in the UFC Hall of Fame. Congratulations to Khabib on becoming the first fighter to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2022.”
In total, in mixed martial arts, Nurmagomedov has 29 victories and not a single defeat. In the last fight before the end of his career, the Russian fighter defeated the American Justin Gati.
Nurmagomedov became UFC champion on April 7, 2018, defeating American Al Iaquinta by unanimous decision. Then the athlete defended the title of the Absolute Fighting Championship three times.
On March 4, Nurmagomedov spoke in one word about the upcoming fight of his brother Umar Nurmagomedov. The former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) posted a photo of his brother. “Ready,” he captioned the picture. The fight against American Brian Kelleher will take place on March 6 in Las Vegas at the UFC 272 tournament.
