Tammy Abraham scores as Roma beat Atalanta in Serie A

With a goal from striker Tammy Abraham, Roma beat Atalanta 1-0 this Saturday, playing at home, in a match valid for the 28th round of the Italian Championship.

The home team, with the result, reached 47 points and now occupies the fifth place in the championship. Atalanta, in turn, has the same 47 points, but dropped to sixth position for having one less victory than the rival.

Roma return to the field on Thursday, when they face Vitesse, from the Netherlands, in the first leg of the round of 16 of the Conference League.

Meanwhile, Atalanta welcomes Bayer Leverkusen, also in the fifth, for the first game of the round of 16 of the Europa League.

Playing at the Olympic Stadium in the city of Rome, the home team took advantage of the support of the crowd and pressured the opponent in the opening minutes.

In the 32nd minute of the first half, Abraham received from Zaniolo, invaded the area and touched the exit of goalkeeper Musso to open the scoring.

After the return of the break, the posture of the teams changed. Atalanta started to put pressure on Roma, who had difficulties to get out of the defense.
