Athletic Club has awarded its ‘One Club Man’ and ‘One Club Woman’ 2022 awards to the Argentine Ricardo Enrique Bochini and the German Jennifer Zietz for their professional careers in Independent (20 seasons) and FCC Turbine Potsdam (17 seasons)respectively.
After last year’s parenthesis, Bochini and Zietz return to the list of winners of an award given by Athletic to former soccer players who have only worn one shirt in the elite throughout his sports career and therefore “represent the values united” to the Bilbao club.
On Bochini, 68, Athletic highlights that “he was considered the best ’10’ in Argentine football until the arrival of Diego Armando Maradona and Leo Messi”, although “unlike these two stars” he developed his entire career in a single club, Independiente de Avellaneda .
World champion with Argentina in 1986, the midfielder retired in 1991 at the age of 37 after 20 seasons with ‘El Rojo’ in which he played 714 games, scored 108 goals and gave more than 200 assists.

The midfielder from Rostock won two Champions Leagues, six league titles and three German Cups with FCC Turbine. She played 332 games and scored 97 goals between 1998 and 2015 with his team and also won Euro 2009 with his team.
