The equestrian classic in tribute to the National Police will be run on Sunday and will have the participation of eight horses, among which Fat Fish, Soda Stereo and El Zurdo stand out as favorites, to win the 1,200-meter test that will take place at the Miguel racecourse Salem Dibo.
It is expected to be a close competition between Fat Fish, winner of the speed classic in 2021 with the driving of Jandry Ibarra, with his powerful stride; Soda Stereo, chosen as the Horse of the Year in 2021 under the command of Manuel González, who will appeal to his experience; and El Zurdo, with outstanding performances in previous competitions and who seeks to surprise with Johnny Gihua’s mount.
The other horses that also want to win this race are Hondable, Shabdiz, Don Guiraldes, Giboole and Rahys Song.
Another race
Nine foals will participate in the special 1,200 meter competition: Terrain, Ran Road, Monterosso, Eva Perón, Enzo, Olivia María, Mohamed, Gallo Ronco and Charly.
The rookie Mohamed, with Luis Hurtado, will start as the favorite in this test and hopes to overcome the experienced mares Olivia María and Eva Perón. (D)
