The International Motorsport Federation (FIA) spoke about the conditions that Russians and Belarusians need to fulfill in order to participate in competitions under the auspices of the organization. This was reported on the FIA website.
Each athlete from these countries will need to sign an agreement under which they are prohibited from displaying national symbols, colors and flags in public and on social networks. The ban also applies to the performance of national anthems, as well as comments on events in Ukraine.
Pilots will act in a neutral status, they will not be allowed to mention their nationality. Similar requirements apply to sports officials, organizers, team members from Russia and Belarus.
On February 25, Formula 1 decided to cancel the Grand Prix at the circuit in Sochi. The organization said that holding the stage in Russia under the current conditions is impossible. Later, the contract for the stage, which was valid until 2025, was also terminated.
