Real Madrid lost 0-1 to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the 1/8 finals of the Champions League after a goal by Kylian Mbappe. The team led by Carlo Ancelotti will come to the Madrid rematch with a big handicap as Casemiro received another yellow card and was suspended. This may not be the only blow to the current Spanish league leader.
Spanish media: Toni Kroos may not play PSG in the rematch. He did not participate in Thursday’s training
Miguel Angel Diaz from Spanish Radio COPE announced that Toni Kroos did not participate in Thursday’s Real Madrid training session. The German is struggling with problems with his thigh muscles and will undergo an MRI scan on Friday. His performance in Saturday’s game against Real Sociedad is ruled out and “La Sexta” adds that a performance against PSG next Wednesday is unrealistic. The only healthy midfielder from the CKM trio is Luka Modrić.
At the moment, Carlo Ancelotti cannot use David Alaba, Andrij Lunin and Gareth Bale, although Alaba and Bale have already participated in Thursday’s training, practicing at full capacity. So who can replace the Casemiro-Kroos duo in the second leg against Paris Saint-Germain? Probably the coach of Real Madrid will choose Federico Valverde and Eduardo Camavinga.
Real Madrid’s second game against Paris Saint-Germain will take place on Wednesday 9 March at 21:00. The broadcast will be available to watch on TVP Sport, Polsat Sport Premium and in the TVP Sport and Polsat Box Go mobile applications. Live coverage of the Champions League matches can be followed at Sport.pl and in the Sport.pl LIVE application.
