The Executive Committee of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has banned Belarusian clubs and national teams of all levels from playing international matches in the country. This is reported in Twitter organizations.
The players will play their home matches on a neutral field. Also, if Belarus is the host of the meeting, the game must be played in empty stands.
On February 28, the International Football Federation, together with the Union of European Football Associations, announced the indefinite exclusion of Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. The Russian national football team also lost the chance to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and Spartak Moscow ended their performance in the Europa League.
On the same day, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that sports federations prevent Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions due to the situation in Russia and Ukraine.
