Alex Txikon will preview the film “Anwar” on April 2 in Bilbao

the documentary film Anwar (Full of light), starring Alex Txikon, can be seen for the world premiere on Saturday, April 2, in Bilbao. The preview of this history of mountaineering, solidarity and renewable energy It has been scheduled in a session in the Auditorium of the Euskalduna Palace at 7:30 p.m.

Shot in Nepal, Sierra Leone and Pakistan, Anwar plunges us into the winter expedition from Txikon to Manaslu (Nepal). She is the non-polluting first ascent, powered by solar panels. With this sustainable system, which makes it possible to reduce the energy footprint by following the Paris Agreements, a solidarity effort begins with the EKI Foundation.

Alex is going to learn about the work carried out by the Foundation in Sierra Leone, where they provide a solar energy system that allows energy autonomy in schools and hospitals. Txikon proposes to replicate this idea in a very special school in the Diamer Valley, in Pakistan, the Günter Mountain School, uniting two different cultures but at the same time the same.
