Due to war in Ukraine, Everton breaks partnership with three Russian companies

In disagreement with the war in Ukraine, Everton announced on Wednesday the breakup of the agreement with three Russian companies: USM, megafon and Yota.

English club owner Farhad Moshiri is also president of USMwhich belongs to Alisher Usmanov, one of the oligarchs linked to Vladimir Putin.

In addition to the suspension, Everton stressed that it is offering “full support” to Ukrainian winger Vitaliy Mykolenko and his family.

Recently, the athlete spoke on his social networks and vented against Russian players for their silence on the subject.

“Everyone at Everton remains shocked and saddened by the terrible events in Ukraine. This tragic situation must end as soon as possible, and further loss of life must be avoided.

The players, coaching staff and everyone working at Everton are providing full support to our athlete Vitaliy Mykolenko and his family, as we will continue to do.

The club confirms that it has immediately suspended commercial sponsorship agreements with Russian companies USM, Megafon and Yota.”.
