Football club (FC) Krasnodar terminated the contract with German coach Daniel Farke. This was reported on the team’s website.
The club emphasized that they came to this decision by mutual agreement. Together with the Krasnodar specialist, his assistants leave – Edmund Riemer, Chris Domogalla and Christopher John. The management thanked the coaching staff for the work done and wished them good luck in the future. Aleksey Antonyuk became acting head coach.
Farke took charge of Krasnodar on January 13, 2022. The contract with the 45-year-old specialist was calculated until June 2024.
On February 28, the International Football Federation, together with the Union of European Football Associations, announced the indefinite exclusion of Russian teams and clubs from international tournaments. The next day, the German specialist Markus Gisdol was relieved of his post as the head coach of Lokomotiv Moscow.
