Dan Milstein, an agent for Russian National Hockey League (NHL) players, said his clients are facing harassment and discrimination due to the situation between Russia and Ukraine. His words are quoted by ESPN.

“People attack the wrong ones. I get calls all the time from players and their parents. They are very concerned about their future and security,” Milstein said. He added that Russian hockey players are being threatened on the streets and wished them dead. The agent emphasized that the players pay millions of dollars in taxes in the US and Canada, and also do charity work, so it’s time for the Americans to stop this bullying.

On February 28, the leadership of the NHL announced sanctions against Russia. The organization suspended cooperation with partners from Russia and refused to hold any competitions under its auspices in the country.

This season, 43 Russian players have contracts with NHL clubs. Milstein represents the interests of Tampa players Andrey Vasilevsky and Nikita Kucherov, as well as other Russians.
