Deputy Minister of Sports Andrey Fedorov spoke about the removal of Russian athletes from international competitions. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Fedorov said that Russia is preparing a plan to challenge the decisions of international organizations. It is noted that Russia is considering the possibility of a refund and compensation for damage in connection with the cancellation of competitions with domestic athletes.

On February 28, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) called for the non-admission of Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in international competitions. The Committee recommended depriving athletes from Belarus and Russia of the right to compete at international competitions against the backdrop of Russia’s special military operation in the Donbass.
After that, international federations in various sports imposed sanctions on domestic athletes. In particular, Russia was left without international competitions in football, biathlon, hockey and athletics.
