Barcelona takes a goal from Falcao and loses to Rayo Vallecano 1-0; Mallorca and Seville tie

This Wednesday, the Barcelona lost to Rayo Vallecano, away from home, 1-0, in the 10th round of the Spanish Championship. The match, played at the Estádio de Vallecas, featured a goal by Radamel Falcao.

With the defeat, the Catalan team is in 9th place and has 15 points. The Madrid team, with 19, sleeps in 5th position.

Barça returns to the field on Saturday, at 4 pm (GMT), when they host Alavés for the national tournament. Rayo, in turn, will face Celta de Vigo, at home, on Monday, at 2:30 pm.

The game – Barcelona, ​​under Ronald Koeman, dominated possession in the first half but created few chances. The home team, coached by Andoni Iraola, waited for a counterattack and opened the scoring after 30 minutes, with Falcao. The 35-year-old Colombian received a deep pass, went straight to the goal, cleared the defender and submitted it to the back of the net.

The complementary stage was also not positive for the visitors. Barça again kept the ball more, but continued to build few clear scoring opportunities. The best of them came in a penalty kick, missed by Memphis Depay, in the 27th minute. Rayo, in turn, maintained the minimum advantage and sealed the triumph by 1-0 at home.

Mallorca x Seville

Also this Wednesday, the Sevilla tied with Mallorca, away from home, by 1-1. Antonio Sánchez, 22 minutes into the first half, scored for the home team at the Iberostar Stadium. At 28 in the second stage, Erik Lamela left everything the same. In stoppage time, Lucas Ocampos turned the score around, but the goal was disallowed by the video referee.

With the result, Sevilla sleeps in the lead and has 21 points. Mallorca, with 13, is in 12th place.

Sevilla returns to the field on Saturday, at 11:15 am (GMT), when they host Osasuna. Mallorca, on the other hand, will face Cádiz, far from their domains, on Sunday, at 10:00 am.
