RB Leipzig faces a second division team in the quarter-finals of the German Cup

This Wednesday, RB Leipzig faces Hannover, currently in the second division, in the quarter-finals of the German Cup. The match will be at HDI-Arena, at 2:30 pm (Brasília time).

With Bayern Munchen and Borussia Dortmund already eliminated from the competition, Leipzig can be considered as the favorites to win the cup. Domenico Tedesco’s team is currently in fourth place in the Busdesliga.

On the side of Hannover, the team is not doing well in the German second division. The team occupies only 12th place, with 31 points, 13 behind the elite access zone.

Also this Wednesday, at the same time, Hamburg and Karlsruher will play a second division duel. Currently, they occupy the fourth and ninth position, respectively.

At 16:45 (Brasília time), Bochum and Freiburg, Bundesliga teams, close the quarter-finals of the competition. Christian Streich’s team fights for a place in the Champions League, being in fifth place at the moment. Thomas Reis’s men are in 11th place.
