The Russian invasion of Ukraine is underway, and it has already killed thousands of people, including civilians. On orders, the Russian army caused the greatest conflict in Europe since the Second World War. In connection with the heroic defense of Ukrainians who defend their land, the Russians are committing more and more disgusting deeds, such as the use of a thermobaric bomb or bombing civilian objects with rockets.
Russian propaganda is so strong that despite the shameful deeds of Vladimir Putin, a large group of people still support the dictator sitting in the Kremlin. There is also a large group of athletes among them. Huge controversy has already arisen from statements of, among others, a ski runner or chess player Sergei Kariakin.
These voices have now been joined by a much more famous figure – Alexander Povetkin. The Russian boxer is a former world champion and gold medalist from Athens in 2004. Unfortunately, he was also deceived by Russian propaganda and shared a disgusting Instagram entry in which he supported Vladimir Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.
– Strength is in truth. The famous words of Sergei Bodrov today express what is happening in Ukraine. We fought for the truth all the years when the Slavs were exterminated in the Donbas. That is why I support the president’s decisions to fight in defense of ordinary people, to fight Nazism. Every war has an end. May the end of this come in the coming days – he wrote.
It seems that Povetkin has already forgotten what boxing lesson he received in 2013 from who, alongside his brother Vitaly, is heroically defending Kiev. This clash took place in the “Olimpijskij” complex in Moscow, and the Ukrainian won it definitely on points. Klitschko seriously damaged the Russian, who fell on the boards for the first time in his career, and it happened four times during the entire match.
