Kyiv, being the capital, is one of the most besieged targets of the Russian troops. In recent days there was a tome, a pickup from the local Dynamo. The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Polish Piki Nona Association organized the evacuation of Kędziora and his family from the attacked city. First, Kędziora went to Lviv, and on Sunday he crossed the border and found himself in Poland. “Together with our relatives, we are now safe in Poland. However, our hearts stayed with everyone in Ukraine. Great respect for people who fight so fiercely for the freedom of their country” – he wrote on Instagram.

On Sunday late in the evening, Kędziora posted another entry on Instagram. He published photos of the devastation from Kiev and added a long description to them. In it he thanked everyone who was involved in its evacuation.

“Returning to Kiev from a training camp in Turkey, even for a fraction of a second, it did not cross my mind that several dozen hours later in the city where I have been living for almost 5 years, which has become my home, where I was most successful and where I married Victoria, I could start war started. But after the first sounds of the explosion, I realized that I was in the center of dangerous events, “Kędziora began.

“Today, thanks to the involvement of many people, I am with my family in. In recent days I have received hundreds of messages with words of support, many of them I have not yet been able to answer, but all of them mean a lot to me. My evacuation from Kiev to Lviv would not be possible without the help of Dynamo Kyiv fans – Roman Syniawsky, Dariusz Baboń and Przemysław Szczurowski. He organized the crossing perfectly in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thank you to the president, Zbigniew Bońek, Łukasz Gawrjołek, Mateusz Morawiecki and my friend Tomek Magdziarz “- he continued.

“Ukraine is like a second homeland for me. I am full of admiration for how its inhabitants fight for freedom and democratic values, and I am proud of the attitude of Poles who are able to unite and help effectively in a gesture of solidarity. My thoughts and heart are with Ukraine. with hope for peace as soon as possible “- wrote Kędziora. At the end, he wrote in Ukrainian: “I hope it will be fine soon. Peace be with you! Forward, Ukraine, I am with you, you are my second homeland”.

Tomasz Kędziora has been playing for Dynama Kyiv since 2017. He joined the club from the capital of Ukraine with Lech Poznań. In the colors of the Ukrainian club, he won the Ukrainian championship, two Ukrainian Cups and three Super Cups. In addition, the defender played in the Europa League. The player’s contract with Dynamo is valid until the end of June 2024.
