Vitaly Bovar, deputy head of the Vladimirsky municipal district, turned to the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, with a demand to provide data on losses during the Russian special operation in Ukraine. He published a scan of the appeal on his page on the VKontakte social network.
“According to the numerous demands of my voters, I demand to publicly report on a daily basis truthful information about the number of victims – dead and wounded – among St. Petersburg residents,” the deputy wrote.
“St. Petersburg should know how much this military adventure costs it” (Russia has not officially declared war on Ukraine, the media are obliged to call the actions of the Russian armed forces a “special operation” at the request of Roskomnadzor – ed.), – Bovary explained his actions.
Earlier it was reported that a petition appeared on the Change.org platform asking the Russian Ministry of Defense to provide data on the dead, wounded and captured on the territory of Ukraine during the ongoing military special operation of Russian troops.
