The Swiss company Coop, which is the main sponsor of the World Cup in cross-country skiing, decided to paint the logo in the colors of the Ukrainian flag. It is reported by VG.

So the Swiss hope to force the Russians to withdraw from the competition. The logo is placed on jerseys with starting numbers, the company believes that this will force the representatives of Russia to refuse to speak.

On February 28, the International Ski Federation (FIS) announced that it would not remove the Russians from the competition. “To ensure fair and inclusive competition, national federations and local organizers should not suspend athletes based on gender, race, nationality or sexual orientation,” the federation stressed.

Before the end of the season, skiers have two stages of the World Cup left. From 3 to 6 March, competitions will be held in Norway, and from 11 to 13 March, a stage will be held in Sweden.
