The Biało-Czerwoni did not have any major problems with their promotion to the Sunday individual competition in Lahti, Finland. The exception was the one who jumped 109.5 meters and had to wait a long time to be sure of participation in the first competition series. However, a few jumpers failed all along the line – they were not promoted to the competition, among others Daniel Andre Tande, Naoki Nakamura and Lovro Kos. Hula was finally 48.

Two Polish jumpers showed very good attempts and finished qualifying in the top ten. reached 121.5 meters and took sixth place. Dawid Kubacki jumped a meter further, but due to worse notes he was seventh, just behind his compatriot.

The attempts of Kacper Juroszek and the first one jumped 119.5 meters, which gave him the 21st place, can also be assessed positively. Żyła, in turn, was right behind Juroszek after a jump on 115.5 meters from a beam lower than his younger friend. The last Pole, Pawe Wsek, took 37th position, jumping 113.5 meters.

The qualification was won in an excellent style by the Norwegian who jumped 128 meters from the short inrun and 6.7 points ahead of the second Austrian Manuel Fettner (123.5 m) and 7 points for the third Slovene Żiga Jelar (127 m).
