Dane Christian Eriksen, of Brentford, returned to the field 259 days after suffering a cardiac arrest at Eurocup last year.
This Saturday, the midfielder took the field in the defeat of his team against Newcastle, by 2 to 0, for the English Premier League.
His last match had been on June 12, 2021, in the first round of Eurocup, when Denmark faced Finland. At the time, Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest in the middle of the game, but was quickly rescued by the medical team present at the stadium and survived.

The player had to undergo surgery for the placement of a defibrillator and ended up terminating the contract with the Inter Milansince the Italian Championship does not allow players with the device to act in the country.
After a long recovery, Eriksen signed with Brentford earlier this year on a contract until the end of this season. The team is 15th in the Premier League and is fighting relegation.
At the age of 30, the Danish player was revealed by Ajax and had a great time at Tottenham.
