Iker Ozkoidi has been proclaimed this Saturday world champion of mushing -sled dog race-, after beating the French Aurélie Delattre and the Norwegian Hans Lindahl, silver and bronze respectively, in a test of 43 kilometers of route held at the Gasbu skistadion in Norway.
The Navarrese ‘musher’ set a timer of 1:39:39 and the gold medal was hung with more than six minutes of advantage on the French Delattre (1:45.21) and 10 on Lindahl, who completed the podium. The one who was very close to climbing the box was the Navarrese Harkaitz Aizpurua, who only a few seconds deprived him of the medal (1:50.25).
In this way, Iker Ozkoidi -who he was already world champion– Adds again, to his brilliant track record, the most prized conquest in ‘mushing’ after having achieved the European throne two years ago, also in the middle distance.
