Van Vleuten beat his compatriot in the sprint Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx), along with the one that stood out at the Ninove goal. Another Dutchwoman, Lorena Wiebes (DSM), completed the podium.
The winner attacked on the Bosberg climb to leave the rest of the runners behind, except for Vollering, who got on her wheel. Van Vleuten sprinted her into the penultimate corner and although Vollering came with her, he beat her in the final effort.
