Georgian power forward Tornike Shengelia has abandoned the CSKA Moscow as “protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine”, the player has confirmed to the Georgian media Commersant.
“I take this decision as a sign of protest against the Russian invasion of Ukraine and I don’t want to continue playing for the russian army club“, he explained in an interview to the media of his country, emphasizing the connection of the Moscow club with the country’s army.
