Yoshihito is a great fighter, it was not an easy matchluckily I stood my ground and was able to save two break points,” Medvedev said.

Afterwards, Stefanos Tsitsipas, seeded third and fourth in the world ranking, remained solid and brilliant, and on this occasion he had no problem accounting for the American Mark Giron.

In this match, Tsitsipas had 100% of the break points against saved with four and demanded everything he could from the North American Giron (59/ATP).

I was able to handle the game by opening the floor looking for the angles which is one of my best weapons”, commented Tsitsipas at the end of the match.

In his turn, Rafael Nadal, number 5 in the world ranking and fourth favorite in Acapulco, kicked out of the tournament the American Tommy Paul (39/ATP) who was a rival who transformed from the first set to the second.
