Russian winners and prize-winners of the 2022 Olympic Games presented for state awards

Russian athletes who won medals at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing are nominated for state awards. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

In particular, skier Alexander Bolshunov, who won three gold, one silver and one bronze medals at the Games, was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky. Olympic champion in team competitions figure skater Kamila Valieva was awarded the Order of Friendship.

Other winners of the competitions are also presented for awards. It is specified that they were awarded for high sporting achievements, the will to win, perseverance and determination.

The Winter Olympic Games in Beijing were held from 4 to 20 February. The Russian team won 32 medals of various denominations and set a record for Russian and Soviet national teams at the Winter Olympics. In terms of the total number of awards, the Russians took second place among the national teams.
