Russian Daniil Medvedev will meet Spaniard Rafael Nadal in the semifinals of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournament in Acapulco, Mexico. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

In the quarterfinals, Medvedev defeated Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka 6:2, 6:3. Nadal beat the American Tommy Paul in his match – 6:0, 7:6 (7:5).

The Russian, playing at the tournament in Mexican Acapulco, beat the Spaniard Pablo Andujar with a score of 6:1, 6:2 and made it to the quarterfinals. Medvedev lost to Nadal in the Australian Open final on 30 January. The decisive match of the tournament in Melbourne lasted more than five hours.
