The fans of Bełchatów prepared a special banner which appeared in the stands shortly before the start of the match. They wrote “Hands Off Ukraine” on it.

Apart from the banner, during the game, especially during breaks in the game, the Ukrainian flag was displayed on the long screens between the stands of the Energia Hall in Bełchatów. This is the first such gesture of support during sports games in Poland since the invasion of the Russians.

PGE Skra Bechatw also published a photo of Ukrainian ribbons prepared before the match in social media. “Today we are taking part in an international event, i.e. a men’s match, but the whole world lives by the situation beyond our eastern border and we, as a club, do not forget about it” – reads the release.

“We will be with Ukraine at this difficult moment and we want to say out loud: Ukraine has not died yet!” – added the club. – We wanted to symbolically show the solidarity of our entire community with Ukraine at this difficult time.
