Kevin Vladimir, 28, and Enrique Bernardo, 36, were arrested in the operation. Among the indications was the seizure of 360 plastic-wrapped packages weighing approximately 402 kilos, and a vehicle was also seized.
Wilman Aceldo, provincial head of Antinarcotics, declared that the drug was camouflaged in the back of a wooden truck, which was also carrying vegetables, as a way to evade police controls.
It is believed that the drug went to towns in the south of the province such as Manantiales de Montecristi or Puerto Cayo, in Jipijapa. The police are investigating whether the logo shown on the packages was also presented in other cases related to drug seizures.
Of those detained, Aceldo pointed out, one has a record precisely for the trafficking of controlled substances. (I)
