Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev made it to the semi-finals of the tournament in Dubai. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
24-year-old Rublev was stronger than the American tennis player Mackenzie McDonald in the quarterfinals. The first set was taken by Rublev’s rival from the USA, and the next two were left for the Russian. The meeting lasted one hour and 45 minutes.
In the semi-finals of the tournament, the domestic tennis player will play with the winner of the confrontation between Hubert Hurkacz from Poland and Yannick Sinner from Italy.
February 20 Rublev won the doubles tournament in Marseille. The Russian performed together with Denis Molchanov from Ukraine. On the same day, Rublev was stronger than Felix Auger-Aliassime in the final of the individual tournament.
Rublev is ranked seventh in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings. The best result for a Russian was the fifth line of the rating in September 2021.
