Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk turned to Briton Tyson Fury. The athlete spoke on the Behind The Gloves YouTube channel.
He stated that he had never avoided meeting with the representative of Great Britain and was ready to fight him with bare fists at any moment. Usyk also urged Fury not to lie about not wanting to meet him in the ring.
On February 22, the holder of the World Boxing Council (WBC) championship belt, Fury signed a contract for a title fight with compatriot Dillian Whyte. The meeting is to be held in April in London.
Usyk holds championship belts according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the International Boxing Organization (IBO) and the World Boxing Association (WBA). He took the titles from Briton Anthony Joshua.
