ATP schedule returns to ‘normal’ | Other Sports | sports

The ATP released the second half of the 2022 circuit calendar, which returns to normal after adjustments from previous seasons due to COVID-19 and, after the Wimbledon tournament that will begin the last week of June, the route will be extended until November, with the Next Gen Finals in Milan and the ATP Finals in Turin.

Total, There will be 66 tournaments spread over 30 countries that will make up the 2022 coursein which the tournament has been moved from Saint Petersburg to Astana, from September 19 to 25.

The program of this second half of the year that the ATP had yet to confirm begins with Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam of the season, set from June 27 to July 10, while the United States Open, the last major of the year, will be from August 29 to September 11.

In those remaining six months of 2022 four Masters 1,000 are included. Two in the United States: the one in Canada, which will be in Montreal from July 7 to 14, and the one in Cincinnati, which will follow.

From 14 to 21. Another will be held in Asia, in Shanghai, from October 9 to 16, and, finally, the last one, in Paris, from October 31 to November 6.

The ATP circuit will end with the Next Gen Finals, in Milan from November 8-12, just before the ATP Finals among the best eight of the season, from November 13-20. (D)
