Navka described Russian figure skaters in three words

The 2006 Olympic champion in ice dancing Tatyana Navka shared her opinion about the Russian figure skaters who competed at the Beijing Olympics. Her words are available on the page in Instagram.

“Our girls Anna Shcherbakova, Alexandra Trusova and Kamila Valieva are all so young, tender and touching! I can’t even believe that on the ice these are real serious fighters with a whole range of different images! – these are the words Navka described the skaters. She compared the 15-year-old Valieva with the fragile Thumbelina. Navka also wished the athletes that everything would work out for them in the happiest way.

On February 17, Shcherbakova won Olympic gold with a total of 255.95 points. Trusova is in second place with 251.73 points. She set a historic milestone by jumping five quadruple jumps in the free skate.

Valieva failed to keep the lead after the short program and took fourth place in the individual tournament. The figure skater was admitted to the competition after a doping scandal, when a microdose of a banned substance was found in her sample.
