The German tennis player was disqualified for aggressive behavior at the tournament

German tennis player Alexander Zverev was suspended from participation in the tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in Acapulco, Mexico. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The athlete was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct. After losing in the match of the 1/8 finals of the doubles (Zverev plays with the Brazilian Marcelo Melo) against the duet of Lloyd Glasspool and Harry Heliovaar, the German approached the chief referee’s tower and hit it with a racket several times with aggression. The athlete gave the broken equipment to the young fan.

Earlier, on February 23, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev swore at Benoit Pere at a tournament in Acapulco. In the second set, the Russian lost 3:4 with a break, but failed to realize a break point by sending the ball into the net. “How?! How do I get into the court, bitch? he protested. In the next draw, Medvedev again failed to take the Frenchman’s serve. “What does everything fall into line with him? What is this ***, ***? Why is everyone in line, bitch?” – the Russian could not resist.

Zverev is the Olympic champion of Tokyo 2020 in singles. He won 19 ATP tournaments. In the rating of the association, he occupies the third line, behind only the Serb Novak Djokovic and the Russian Medvedev.
