With a goal from striker Ziyech in the final minutes, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 1-0, this Saturday, away from home, in a match valid for the 25th round of the Premier League.
With the victory, the Blues reached the mark of 50 points and follow in the third place of the Premier League. Crystal Palace, in turn, is 13th in the competition, with 26 points.
Chelsea return to the field next Tuesday, when they host Lille, at home, for the first game of the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace plays next Wednesday, against Watford, away from home, in a delayed match, valid for the 18th round of the Premier League.
Despite the difference between the teams in the table, the match started balanced. Olise had a good chance and almost opened the scoring for the home team, six minutes into the first half.
Soon after, in the next play, Pulisic discounted the scare for the Chelsea team, after finishing over the goal.
The early stage continued to be hectic, with good chances for both sides. However, both teams’ attacks failed to score and the first half ended as it began.
After the break, Crystal Palace came back better and took the opportunity to pressure the Chelsea team, which seemed disconnected on the field. In the opening minutes of the second half, the best chances were on the home side.
