Skier Alexander Bolshunov will be the flag bearer for the Russian team at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

The event will take place on February 20 and will begin at 15:00 Moscow time. The 25-year-old skier appreciated this opportunity. At the opening ceremony, the flag of the Russian Olympic Committee was carried by hockey player Vadim Shipachyov and speed skater Olga Fatkulina.

At the 2022 Games, Bolshunov became a three-time Olympic champion. He won gold in the skiathlon and relay, and was the best in the last race of the 2022 Games, the marathon, which was shortened from 50 to 30 kilometers due to weather conditions. Also in Beijing, the skier won silver in the 15 km classic style race and bronze in the team sprint.
