It has been known for several days that Luquinhas will leave the New York Red Bulls. The competitor, who was to be the captain of the Polish champions in the spring round, had been preparing for the trip for over a week. He was missing in the first two matches of the team this spring – against Zag³êbie Lubin (3: 1) and Warta Poznań (0: 1).

However, not all fans are happy. Or to put it differently: most of them are unhappy, because Luquinhas has been the Legia’s main player for three years. And although his numbers did not impress – this season he played 31 games, scored three goals and scored one assist – his game was impressive. The Brazilian could dribble, he was not afraid of it, and he rarely lost the ball, which made him stand out from the league rivals.
In December – after an incident on the bus where hooligans beat up footballers – Vuković allowed him and Mahir Emrel to take a break from training and matches. They both have not played in Legia. Emreli – who, unlike Luquinhas, did not fly with the team to the training camp in Dubai – terminated his contract with the club in early February and moved to. In theory, Legia did not earn a zloty on his transfer. But in practice – a million euros, because this was the amount of overdue installments that were written off.
The New York Red Bulls, where Luquinhas moved, paid about three million euros for the Brazilian.
