Russian athletes won three bronze medals and one silver. The domestic team takes ninth place in the unofficial medal standings of the Games.

Silver was won by biathletes Irina Kazakevich, Kristina Reztsova, Svetlana Mironova and Uliana Nigmatullina in the relay.

In the women’s team sprint, Natalya Nepryaeva and Yulia Stupak showed the third result. In the men’s sprint, Alexander Bolshunov and Alexander Terentiev also won bronze medals.

In addition, freestyler Ilya Burov won a bronze medal at the Olympics for the second time in his career.

Games in Beijing will last until February 20. Domestic athletes compete under the auspices of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
