Tomasz Musiał was seriously infected
Although Musiał did not have any serious symptoms, he felt the effects of the infection during his first running training sessions. He felt a clear weakening of his body and not only lost the camp in Belek, Turkey, but also the physical form he was returning to after being seriously infected with Lyme disease.
– A year of struggling with Lyme disease has devastated my body. Due to the infection, I lost almost everything that I had previously worked out – said the arbiter in an interview with the portal “Love Kraków”.
He must have come back to refereeing soon
he slowly comes back to himself, as evidenced by the passing test in Spała. In the 23rd round (February 26-28), Musiał will be back on the pitch. In the first two rounds of 2022 – in the match between Zagłębie z Górnik Zabrze and Jagiellonia – he worked in a VAR truck.
In the current league season, Tomasz Musiał refereed a total of 13 matches, in which he showed 51 yellow cards, three red cards and dictated eight penalties. He whistled for the last time in the clash with Jagiellonia – on December 18, 2021.
