Mexico summons 18 local league players to face Ecuador in friendly

Topping the list are six players who clinched bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Argentine Gerardo Martino, coach of Mexico, called 18 players from the local league to be measured this Wednesday, October 27, in a friendly, to Ecuador at the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, in the United States.

In the list released this Sunday, six Olympic bronze medalists in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games stand out, who are the ones who lead the list of the Mexican team.

Jesús Angulo, from the Atlas; Roberto Alvarado, from Cruz Azul; Fernando Beltrán, Jesús Angulo, Uriel Antuna, from Guadalajara; and Eduardo Aguirre, from Santos Laguna, were the six summoned.

With problems arming the Mexican team as it is not a FIFA Date and without players from América and Monterrey, who will play the final of the Concacaf Champions League on Thursday, Martino will have several players with little or no experience in the senior team.

Mexico will travel this Sunday afternoon to Charlotte, after an hour of starting the concentration to face the Ecuadorians, who reached the quarterfinals in the last Copa América.

These are the summoned from Mexico
