Alisson celebrates Liverpool rout at Old Trafford

In Liverpool’s historic rout over Manchester United in the Premier League, Alisson, once again, had a good performance and helped the team to leave the field without conceding goals. Now, the Brazilian goalkeeper already has five games without being leaked.

The day after the match, Alisson celebrated the elastic score and another good performance by Liverpool. “We know that what happened over the weekend will be forever marked in history, after all, it’s not easy to beat United at Old Trafford, even more so with an elastic score like this,” he said.

“We are showing, game by game, that we have recovered the intensity and we want to fight for all competitions. Today, the whole team did very well again. We kept the momentum going from start to finish and respected Manchester United playing forward. Our group is very strong and we built this rout with merit”, he added.

Up front, Mohamed Salah was the big name in the derby, with three goals scored and an assist. Keita and Diogo Jota made the other goals of the ball that led United fans to start leaving the stadium at half-time.

With the result, Liverpool reached 21 points and remained in the vice-leadership of the English, only behind Chelsea, who have 22. The team returns to the field this Thursday against Preston, away from home, in the round of 16 English League Cup final.
