Legia Warsaw is going through very difficult times this season. The start was very good as the team that was still led by then was promoted to the Europa League. However, this came at the cost of the league’s results, which are disastrous. The people of Warsaw are involved in a struggle for maintenance and currently occupy the penultimate place in the league table.
Everything seems to indicate that there will be a great revolution in the summer. It is already known that the management of the club is intensively looking for a new coach who is about to undertake it. As a result, many players will certainly say goodbye to Ćazienkowska.
Nawrocki talks about his future. “There are basically three options”
It is not known, however, whether Maik Nawrocki will be in this group. The young defender was one of the biggest discoveries at the start of the season and he did a great job especially in the Europa League. Later, however, an injury occurred, and after it, unfortunately, the player on loan, adjusted to the level of other teammates.
Legia has the right of first refusal of Nawrocki, but as the player himself admitted, the decision on this matter has not yet been made. – We haven’t discussed the details yet, but the club still has plenty of time to make a decision by the end of the season. There are basically three options: stay in the Legion, go back to Werder, or go elsewhere. However, I know that whatever happens, it will be beneficial for both me and Legia – the 21-year-old admitted in an interview with the portal.
– Werder? I spent over 15 years there so it’s only natural that I would like to play there someday. But whether it will be in a year, in ten years or never, I really don’t know. Sure I dream of going out on the pitch for Bremen’s first team, but my approach to life is realistic and I know it might as well never happen. At the moment, the ball is on the side of Legia. Regardless of the decision taken by the club, I will definitely accept it – he added.
Maik Nawrocki joined Legia Warszawa in July 2021 from Werder Bremen. However, he spent the spring round of the previous season on loan in. In the team from the capital, he has played 23 matches so far, in which he scored one goal and scored three assists.
