Russian Ivliev won silver in short track at the Beijing Olympics

Russian short track skater Konstantin Ivliev won a silver medal in the 500m at the Beijing Olympics. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The winner of the race was the Hungarian Liu Shaoang. He covered the distance in 40.34 seconds. The 21-year-old Russian was 0.11 seconds behind the champion. Canada’s Stephen Dubois took bronze, 0.34 seconds back.

Ivliev won the 16th medal for the Russian team at the 2022 Games. Now the national team has four gold, five silver and seven bronze Olympic medals.

On February 9, Russian short track skater Semyon Yelistratov won bronze at the Beijing Olympics. He closed the top three winners at a distance of 1500 meters. The winner of the race was an athlete from South Korea Te Hong Hwan. Second place went to Canadian Dubois.

The Beijing Olympics will run until February 20. Domestic athletes compete at competitions under the auspices of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC).
