Tournament was played in individual, couples and mixed categories. The tricolor title was achieved with Philippe Thorin and Renato Naula.

Teams Ecuador and Colombia, in the youth category, and Paraguay and Peru, in the junior category, they stayed with the South American Championship titles Prejuvenil y Juvenil Ecuador 2021, tournament played in the Arrayanes Country Club, in Quito.

Philippe Thorin y Renato Naula made up the winning couple in the men’s division of the youth category. The nationals obtained the gold medal after four days of competition and after finishing the tour of the court with 429 hits.

a score wrong signed by one of his players led to the disqualification of Chile, leading up to that moment in the order, with what Naula and Thorin went on to lead the contest, for one historic tricolor presentation, with the first title achieved in 53 disputed editions of the South American Youth.

Peru placed second and Argentina completed the podium. The teams from Paraguay and Venezuela were placed together in the fourth box.

In singles, Thorin took second place, behind Peruvian Alejandro Ramos, who surpassed him in the tiebreaker items (last nine holes) and before the impossibility of playing a playoff for lack of natural light. The two athletes added 287 strokes, accompanied in the third position by Argentine Juan Martín Loureiro.

On damas individual, the Colombian women Maria Jose Marin reached gold, with 278 hits.

In mixed teams, Isabella Yu Lee and Philippe Thorin obtained the silver medal, with a total of 428 hits. In this division, Colombians Mateo Payán and María José Marín won the gold medal after completing 421 strokes. Argentina ranked third.

Ecuador also rose to the podium with Isabela Yu Lee and Valentina Guarderas, bronze in women’s teams, after Colombia and Brazil.

In the junior category, the Paraguayan Franco Fernández took first place in individual males. Gold also went to Paraguay in men’s teams, with Erich Fortlage and Franco Fernández.

In ladies, Argentina Magdalena Domine took the title, while the Peruvians Zoe Pinillos and Ximena Benites they took first place in women’s teams.

In the mixed category, the Peruvian duo of Ximena Benites and Jaime Yzaga took the gold, followed by Argentina. (D)
