On loan from Corinthians, Sornoza suffers a concussion

Still with rights linked to the Corinthians, Junior Sornoza went through a big scare this Saturday night. The midfielder suffered a concussion during the game of his team, Independiente Del Valle, against LDU, for the Ecuadorian Championship.

Sornoza hit his head on the field on the field after suffering a foul from behind an opponent. He had to be taken to hospital for tests and even lost his memory due to the shock.

“Junior Sornoza is still hospitalized under observation. He’s conscious, still confused, he doesn’t remember the move, the entry he took was very tough, disloyal. The athlete Perlaza apologized, called after the match, but life goes on. Now it’s Junior rest so he can come back well,” said Bernardo Escansette, the athlete’s manager.

Sornoza joined the Ecuadorian team earlier this year and has a contract with Corinthians until the end of 2022. He is a regular on the team and has been called up frequently to defend his country’s national team.
