Real Madrid beat Barcelona and keep the lead in the Spanish Championship

This Sunday, at Camp Nou, the Real Madrid won the Barcelona 2-1, in a game valid for the 10th round of the Spanish Championship. The visitors’ goals were scored by David Alaba and Lucas Vázquez. Aguero paid for the owners of the house.

With the result, the Merengues resume the leadership of La Liga with 20 points, the same score as Sevilla and Real Sociedad. On the other hand, Barça, with 15, remains in the middle of the table.

The rivals return to the field this Wednesday. At 2:00 pm (GMT), Koeman’s commanders visit Rayo Vallecano, while Real receives Osasuna, at 4:30 pm.

The game – The match started very foul and with few chances to score. At 32 minutes of the first half, Alaba kicked in the right corner and scored the debut. Three minutes later, Pique, head, almost tied for the hosts. Shortly thereafter, Courtois made a beautiful save from Eric Garcia’s shot.

In the second half, Barça was present in Real’s attacking field, but had difficulty hitting the target. Benzema had two good opportunities to extend the visitors’ advantage. In the first, the Frenchman kicked over having Stegen, and in the second, in an offside position, he ended up sticking the ball.

Ancelotti’s team scored the second goal at the end of the match. Asensio pulled a counterattack, hit hard and demanded a good defense from the German goalkeeper. However, on the rebound, Lucas Vázquez pushed deep into the net. At the last minute, Aguero cashed.
